He was born in Jasper, Indiana on February 22, 1936 to Joseph and Hilda (Buechlein) Heichelbech. He married Avonda Whittington on June 24, 1972, she preceded him in death on October 10, 1992.
Don Heichelbech retired from the Jasper Seating Company in Jasper.
He was an Avid Bowler.
