Requiem mass will be at 8 a.m. Friday in the St. Francis Church for Corporal Aloysius Carl Rieger, 20, who was killed in the crash of his B-29 on Saipan May 5, 1945. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Rieger was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Rieger, 2002 North Indiana.

He was born November 7, 1924, in Oklahoma City. He attended Rosary Grade School, St Joseph High School, and the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He entered military service June 7, 1943 and was stationed on Guam as a B-29 radio operator at the time of his death. The fatal crash occurred on his first mission. He was a member of St. Francis Church, the Holy Name Society, and the Knights of Our Lady of the Skies.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, John P. Rieger and Vincent Rieger; two sisters, Margaret Rieger and Ann Catherine Rieger, all of the home. Smith and Kernke Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
