He was born on Tuesday, 22 April 1924 in Stockton, California and was the son of Jack J. Hicks and Lola Hicks.
Jeane served in the United States Army Air Force in 1942 and was a tail gunner during World War II. His plane was shot down over Hamburg, Germany in 1943 and he was a POW in Stalag 17B until he was liberated after D-Day in 1945.
He volunteered for the Sonora Fire Department in the 1950s, belonged to the Gem and Mineral Society in Sonora, CA., and was a jeweler and silversmith for more than 50 years.
Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife of 63 years of marriage, Jane Elizabeth (Sylva) Hicks, daughter, Patty (Hicks) Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack J. Hicks and Lola Hicks, his daughter, Beth Hicks.
