Daughter of millwright Gottlieb Wawrowsky and his wife, Elisabeth née Bornkassel. She and her eldest son arrived at Baltimore on 3 Sep 1858 aboard the bark Maryland. On 3 Feb 1859, she and Hermann Sebastian were married in Old Appleton, MO by Rev. Heinrich Schulze, pastor of Zion German Methodist Church. Their children were baptized and confirmed at Cape Girardeau County Lutheran congregations; first at Immanuel in New Wells, then Immanuel in Tilsit, and eventually Zion south of Gordonville.
