OLGA N. HENSLEY POUND, VA- Mrs. Olga N. Hensley, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday March 4, 2016 from the Mountain View Regional Medical Center- Norton, VA. Her loving and devoted daughter, Janice was by her side. Known to her friends as “Augie”, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grand- mother, sister and friend. She was a Christian and a member of Martha’s Chapel Church for over 50 years. She was the co-owner of Hensley’s Grocery for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and preserving, and quilting. Augie was an avid reader, especially her Bible. She also liked to sing and enjoyed traveling to visit her family and friends. She was especially close to her grandchildren. Olga had a true servant’s heart, always putting others before herself. Olga was preceded in dead by her husband, P.H. (Pet) Hensley; her parents, A.M. and Mary Ann (Phillips) Stidham; sisters, Bonnie Berry and Dovie Caudill; brothers, Guy Stidham, Eddie Stidham, Garvie Stidham, Coy Stidham and Watson Stidham; step-daughter, Eleanor Hensley; and step-son Dwight Hensley. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Bolling and husband Roger-Pound, VA; her son, Jeff Hensley and wifeTeresa-Rock Spring, GA ; grandchildren, Patrick Bolling, Amy Bolling- Wallin, and Sara Mullins; great grandchildren, Zoe Bolling, Sophie Smith, Georgia Smith, Isaac Wallin, Nathan Wallin, Kerrick Mullins and Charlotte Mullins; step-granddaughter, Susan Hensley; several nieces and nephews that were like he children; and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn her passing and cherish her memory. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00pm Sunday March 6, 2016 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Danny Mullins, Reverend Jimmy Slemp and Brother Larry Sturgill officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until time of services. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00am Monday March 7, 2016 at the Mt Zion Cemetery-Pound, VA where Jeff Hensley, Kevin Wallin, Cainan Mullins, Roger Bolling, Patrick Bolling and Ed Sturgill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Wallin, Nathan Wallin and Kerrick Mullins Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10;00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery. Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Mrs. Olga N. Hensley.
