Age 81. June 23, 2011 of Taylor. Beloved husband of 57 years to Ina Lee. Loving dad of Mike (Smokie) and Judy (Scott) Meyers. Proud grandpa of Jennifer (Robert), Scott (Nicole), Stephanie, Nicole and David. Great grandpa of Vanessa, Robert Lee, the late Kirsten Inalee, Hunter, Jeremy, Alexis and Kaelyn. My grandpa was the best person I ever knew. I never heard him say anything bad about anyone. He helped anyone and everyone. He never swore. He loved my grandma more than anything. They had known each other since grade school. They were married for 57 years.
He always said "Morning" to you whenever he saw you. It could be 9 in the morning or 10 at night. It was always, "Morning".
My grandpa loved the garden. He could grow ANYTHING!!!! He loved roses the best, and his garden was full of all different kinds and colors of roses.
In my whole life, I never saw my grandpa sick. He was so healthy. The doctors told him that he had a heart of a 40 year old man. He was so active. He was always outside.
On January 10, 2011, he was on his way to go and get my grandma from the hospital. He never made it to go and get her. He was missing for 3 hours before the police found him on the side of the road. He had a massive bleed in his brain. He never woke up from that. He was in the hospital from January 10 until he died at 9:19 AM on June 23, 2011.
He will be forever missed. Life will never be the same without him.
