He was born Dec 30, 1911, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He married Viola Fraedrich July 6, 1936, at Boise. Mr. Parberry held a bachelor of science degree from Pacific University and a master of science degree in education from the University of Idaho. He came to the University of Idaho in 1953 from the College of Idaho, where he was athletic director, Athletic Department head and head coach. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 and from 1951 until 1953. After serving at the U of I as head baseball coach and assisting with basketball and football, he moved to the Physical Education Department in 1957 as assistant professor and director of intramural. He retired from the chairmanship of the Men's Physical Education Department in 1975 to operate Shady Beach Cabin on Payette Lake. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Pacific City, Ore., and the
Elks.
Surviving are his wife, McCall; two sons, Larry, Boise, and Gary, Farmington, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Penny) Iverson, Las Vegas, and Mrs. Kermit (Marla) Scarborough, Gresham, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Baughman, and six grandchildren.
