Luella Elvira Jampetero, 88, passed away on October 15, 2006, peacefully with family at her side. She was born March 11, 1918, to Ebert and Leona Knutson in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. She married Francis T. (Jam) Jampetero, the love of her life, on February 16, 1963. Lue managed the Travotel Motel in Colorado Springs for five years from 1971-1976. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and was known as the "Pillow Lady" on the craft circuit. She and Jam traveled often to Las Vegas and Cripple Creek, enjoying the bright lights and excitement. Above all, her family was her passion. Forever young at heart, her love of life and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Lue is survived by her husband, step-daughters Glorianna Jampetero, Dunlap, California; Francine Jampetero, Escondido, California; sisters DaVota Schleisman, Poynette, Wisconsin, Alvera Flower, Pardeeville, Wisconsin, Carol Werner, Brown Deer, Wisconsin, Beverly (James) Godt, Canon City, Colorado as well as cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Ramona Broesch, granddaughter Loretta Lue, a brother Cameron Knutson and sister Myrtle Schiller. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado and again on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Service to follow at Smith Funeral Home, 106 Roosevelt Street, Pardeeville, Wisconsin. Burial will follow immediately at Wyocena, Wisconsin.
