Richard was the son of Richard H. and Margaret Jane Baskett Moore. He was born in Jackson Township, Linn Co., Mo. northeast of Shafter the last of 8 children. He married Eva Colvin on 3 Oct. 1886. She preceded him in death on 25 Jan. 1939. To this marriage children born were Emma Rottman and Richard H. of Browning Mo. and Essie Wood of Purdin, Mo. Grandchildren are Raymond Rottman, Ruth Moore, and Lewis Wood, all of Browning, and Robert Lee and Don Wood, both of Purdin.
