HIGGINS- Esther Ruth Krehbiel Hopper, 87 Died Sunday, October 25, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Higgins Cemetery With the Rev. Jerry Don Cheshire, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Higgins, Officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill Higgins Chapel.
Mrs. Hopper was born in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. She lived in Booker for 29 years and then in Higgins for 13 years. She was a homemaker who lived in Salina, Kansas for three years until moving to Canadian.
She married Allie Pearl "Hi" Hopper, Aug. 4, 1928, at Lipscomb County. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967, and by two sons, William Hopper, in 1955 and Allie Pearl Hopper Jr. in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Hopper of Veneta, Oregon, and Patrick Hopper of Salina; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Esther Hopper Memorial Fund c/o Stickley Hill Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 465, Canadian, Tx 79014; or c/o Patrick Hopper, 521 N. 13th, Salina, Ks 67401.
