She enjoyed gardening, sewing and making things very special for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She had worked several different jobs, but mostly supporting various businesses of the family.
Surviving are her son, David Springer of Fort Wayne; daughters, Jean Light and Nancy Jeffers, both of Fort Wayne; one brother, Donald Schneider of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by son, Roger Springer; father, John Schneider; and mother, Hilda (Fahlsing).
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson St., with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Arnold Piering and Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
