Her passing was peaceful and was met with joy in Ruth's anticipation of a reunion with her beloved husband, Ward H. Magleby, who preceded her in death, and with her parents and other loved ones as well. Ruth will be missed by her family and many friends and loved ones, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth Magleby was born on August 16, 1918 in Ephraim, Utah to Ora L. and Lola Tuft Hansen. She attended grade school, high school and Snow College in Ephraim. She married Ward H. Magleby on December 23, 1937 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Ruth was a life-long member of the LDS Church where she served faithfully throughout her life in many capacities: In the Primary, Relief Society presidency, visiting teacher, and as a temple ordinance worker for many years with her husband. She faithfully supported Ward in his many years in the Seminary and Institute programs of the LDS Church and during his service as bishop and high counselor in the church. Ruth and Ward also traveled extensively to many parts of the world, much of it on church assignments.
Ruth will be remembered for her loving relationships with many friends and with family and for her never-ending hospitality. Most of all, Ruth will be remembered for her love and total devotion to Ward during their nearly 50 years together. She was indeed a companion and friend to him. This love makes the reunion they are now enjoying together so very special.
