Jason Shane Benson, 34, of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with his family and friends present. His beloved daughter, Alexis Breanna, survives him and his precious little son, Gabriel Michael; his fiancée, Lourdes Vogel, and her dear little daughter, Justina Bradbury; two brothers, Chris Benson Jr. and David Benson; half brother, Alan Benson; a niece, Ocean Benson; nephew, Jacob Benson, all of Roanoke, Va.; his grandfather, Paul Benson, of Vinton, Va.; grandmother, Lozine Shelton, of Pearisburg, Va.; a devoted mother, Capris Shelton and stepfather, Walter Thompson, of Pearisburg, Va.; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was LOVED by all and will be missed more than words can express. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pembroke, Va. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
