Kim B. Newton of Sheridan, Ark. went to be with her Lord on May 31 in Little Rock, Ark.
She was born Sept. 27, 1960 in Arlington to Ray Thompson and Myrna Houy. She spent her adult life in Texas, Illinois, Georgia, and Arkansas, but always called Burnet home. She enjoyed most of all being a mother and wife. She was employed by the Federal Government at the Pine Bluff Arsenal as the payroll administrator.
She had a sense of humor and a way of telling stories that made her famous among her friends, usually at her own or her family�s expense.
Kim was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Melvin and Lois Kincheloe; paternal grandparents, Ray and Myrtle Thompson; brother in law, Herbert Newton; and nephew, Kurt Milliorn. She is survived by her husband, who she had known since the age of six, Charles Newton; her three sons, who were her whole life, Tyler, Hunter, and Tanner, all of Sheridan, Arkansas; her mother, Myrna Houy, of Sheridan, Arkansas; mother and father in law Jerry and Gladys Newton of Burnet; brother, Brian Thompson, and wife, Nancy, of Burnet; sister, Cindy Kneen, and husband, Mark, of Garden City, Idaho; sister, Lisa Thompson, of Burnet; sister, Shannon Escamilla, and husband, Robert, of Leander,Texas; sister-in-law, Gayle Robinson, and husband, Jim, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Jayne Moore, and husband, Jim, of Burnet; sister-in-law, Paula East, and husband, Mike, of Liberty Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Kim will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Edgar Funeral Home in Burnet. Graveside services will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chase Holloway, Drew Escamilla, Matthew Escamilla, Jason Trlica, Jarod Trlica, and Brandon Leath.
