Frances L. Axline Gieger, 61, a retired registered nurse and homemaker, died Thursday, July 16, 1998, in Everman.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Temple Church. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: Friday evening at the funeral home.

Frances L. Axline Gieger was born Aug. 16, 1936, in Fort Worth.

She attended Polytechnic High School. She loved children and possessed a strong desire to be a homemaker and a mother. At age 37, Mrs. Gieger entered Tarrant County Junior College and earned an associate in applied science degree in nursing, and passed her state board exam in the top 5 percent. She was a member of Grace Temple in Fort Worth and was an at-large applicant of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors: Husband of 43 years, Gerald A. Gieger of Everman; sons, Gregory A. Gieger and Philip A. Gieger, both of Burleson, Andy Gieger of Orcus Island, Wash., and Bradley Gieger of Portland, Ore.; daughters, Debra D. Summers of Singapore, Karen E. McLaughlin of Crowley and Sharon Warren of Everman; brother, David W. Axline of Arlington; sisters, Avis McGowan of Arlington and Janice Nelon of Burleson; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
