Kathryn Ann ("Kathy" or "Kate") Waterman, 61, of 15 Columbia Ave., died Friday (Oct. 22, 2010), in Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital, Buffalo.
She was born May 11, 1949, in Jamestown, the daughter of James and Evelyn Larson Waterman.
A graduate of the former Chautauqua High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the State University of New York at Fredonia, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Cal State Los Angeles.
She was a self-employed artist and jeweler, operating her own studio in Jamestown.
She was a long-time member of the Victorville Rock Club in California. She loved the Los Angeles Dodgers, bluegrass music, fishing, and visiting casinos. She also enjoyed woodworking and wood prints, bronze sculpture, and photography. Always one with a great sense of humor, she enjoyed making people laugh, being with and creating crafts for children and being with family and friends.
Surviving are her wife, Anne L. Kenefic; two sisters: Linda K. (Ted) Lindquist of Stow, and Penny Smith of Watts Flats; a brother, Gary Waterman of Arizona; an aunt and uncle, Doug and Sue Waterman; an aunt, Della Waterman; and several nieces and nephews.
