Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Bates, 81, of 106 Talmadge St., who died Wednesday, will be held at the Schroeder Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave. Friends may call there after 4 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. She was born in New Glarus and was a Madison resident 55 years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Norma Evarts, 1413 Loftsgordon Ave.; and Rosella, at home; two sons, Arthur, 2114 Fremont Ave.; and Everett, at home; a sister Mrs. Freda Hankel, 209 Jackson St.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
