Joann E. Sexton, 74, of Cheyenne died March 18 at Davis Hospice Center.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1934, in Loveland, Colo., the daughter of Ernest and Gilberta "Birdie" (Guernsey) Wages.
On May 15, 1952, she married Milford "Jack" Sexton in Whitesburg, Ky.
Mrs. Sexton lived in Cheyenne off and on for most of her life. She worked in food service as manager for various businesses in Cheyenne.
Mrs. Sexton was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 83.
She is survived by three daughters, Jackie Sexton, Jeannie Sexton and Linda Sexton, all of Cheyenne; and one son, James Corbin Sexton and his wife, April, also of Cheyenne; nine grandchildren, Chris Evans, Rob Maes, Denice Crowder and husband, Caleb, Latisha McCrery, Stacey Packard and her husband, Mike Packard, Courtney Stoner and her husband, Skeet Stoner, Josh Sexton, Ashley Tatum and Corrie Sexton; and four great-grandchildren, Tristen McCrery, Tavia Packard, Aaylus Packard and Cayden Crowder.
She is loved and will be missed by many.
