**Thank you so very much GeorgiaCA for sponsoring precious Chico.**

Our Quaker Parrot Chico just passed away early this afternoon. He was our pride and joy and was so spoiled. Our precious Chico was so smart he could say over 100 things. He didn't just mock the words he knew how to use them. He never could say tv he always said he wanted his EE. He was a real daddy's boy even though we bought him for me.

Whenever we would get ready to leave the house he would say "What are you going to bring me back? Well needless to say we always brought something home to him. Some times it was a jalapeno pepper. He loved them and birds cannot tell they are hot. Sometimes it was a toy or some kind of treat.

One day Clair and the children and I were saying how full we were after Thanksgiving dinner. Out of the blue he said I am full too. Then he laughed like crazy he loved to laugh. The vet said because we laughed a lot so did he. One day he asked me for chicken his favorite meat. I did not have any to give him so I took him an apple. He said "no apple, want chicken". He did not like oranges or orange juice. He would look at it and say "No thanks, take it away".

Clair was always holding Chico and singing to him. One day when we had our granddaughter living with us he threw bird seed all over the crib. I said oh my word, and I looked at Chico. He tilted and shook his head yes as he laughed about it. I had to leave the room quickly because I wanted to laugh my head off. He later fell in love with Bethann and called her baby bird.

He showed a sense of humor when he screamed "Help, help, help". I ran to the room he was in thinking he had got his leg caught and cut off. I almost fell on the way trying to get to him. But all I found was his eyes glittering as he thought it was funny. He started laughing like crazy. I told him never to do that again as it scared mama to death and he never did it again.

We will miss our little boy and he was so much more than a bird. He always asked "What ya doing?". Every time we left the room he would yell "Come back, come back, come back". Eight years was just not enough with our sweet Chico.

Fly free and soar sweet baby. I am sure you are with our other babies. Until we reach Heaven fly and have fun. We love you and miss you already sweet Chico. Our hearts are screaming "Come back, come back, come back" just as you did when we left the room. You are so missed and the house is strangely quiet now.

I am going to transfer you over to daddy now sweet Cheeks. I love you with all my heart.

If Ann doesn't get her healing little Chico will soon be with his mama Ann Howard

I'll lend you, for a little while, a bird of mine, He said. For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead. It may be six or seven years, or maybe twenty-three, But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief, You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, as all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this bird to learn.

I've looked the whole world over in my search for teachers true, And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love - not think this labor vain, Nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again. I fancied that I heard them say, 'Dear Lord, thy will be done.' For all the joy this bird shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shower him with tenderness and love him while we may, And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand."
