Mrs. Maribe Potter
Shaftsbury - Mrs. Maribe Loretta (Galusha) Potter, 65, of Church Street, Shaftsbury, died Sunday at Putnam Memorial Hospital, Bennington, where she had been a patient for a week.
She was born in Shaftsbury on May 1, 1905, daughter of David and Martha (Niles) Galusha. Her education had been received in Shaftsbury and at North Bennington High School. She had retired in 1967 from the Sim-Sen Co., where she was a textile worker. She had formerly been employed at other Bennington textile plants. Mr. Potter had always made her home here.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Livingston of North Bennington; two nieces, Mrs. Theron (Ann) Tromble of Dorset and Mrs. Ralph (Yvonne) Stone of Bennington; one nephew, Richmond D. Galusha, U.S. Air Force, New Mexico. Three cousins are also left in White Creek.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, Bennington, with the Rev. A. J. MacDonald, pastor of the Shaftsbury First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Center Shaftsbury at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
