Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Farrier in the US Army in Company I, 7th US Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action at White Clay Creek, South Dakota on December 30, 1890. His citation reads "Bravery."
