Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was a Sergeant in the US Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a Corporal in Company B, 8th US Cavalry for action in Arizona during August-October 1868. His citation reads "Bravery in scouts and actions against Indians."
