Mrs. A.L. STANFIELD DIES AFTER ILLNESS OF LONG STANDING

Mrs. A. L. Stanfield, 54 years old, and a resident of the Kalema section since 1914, died at the family ranch home early last Saturday morning of asthma, aggravated by an attack of influenza.
Mrs. Stanfield, formerly Miss Sylvia May Agee, was a native of Oregon and came to this state with her family when failing health made it necessary for her to seek a different climate than Idaho where the Stanfield's settled after leaving Oregon. For 25 years she had suffered periodically with asthma and bronchitis, but had been in fair health since coming to Montana until two years ago.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Stanfield is survived by 11 children. They are Leroy, a resident of Washington, Irvin G, of Garfield, Washington; Chester H. of Pullman, Washington; James E. of Medford, Oregon; Mrs. L.W. Taylor of Pasadena, California; Mrs Oscar Hovde, Charles J., Clarke L., Ford, Carol and Esther M. Stanfield, all of Choteau. There is also her aged mother, Mrs. Margaret Putman, who makes her home near the Stanfield ranch, one brother, James Agee, of Albany, Oregon, and a sister, Linnie Funk, of Scio, Oregon.
Funeral services were held at the Methist Church in Choteau Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Robert B. Culbertson officiating. Burial was in the Choteau Cemetery.
