Mrs. Pilgrim,83, Dies at Residence; Services Today

Mrs. Frances Lou Wilcox Pilgrim 2001 Maple Street, died Friday afternoon at her residence. She had been in declining health for several months.

Mrs. Pilgrim was 83 and had made her home in Rome for the past 43 years. She was born in Jackson County, Ala., and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, John Pilgrim of Mascot,Tenn., Oscar Pilgrim Gadsden,Ala., and W.C.Pilgrim of Rome, one sister Bertie Stallings, Centre, Ala.; 28 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 2p.m. at the chapel of the Littlejohn-Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. James M. Moore, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, officiating. Intement will be in the East View Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Littlejohn-Stevens Funeral Home until time for the services

Pallbearers will be John Baker Sr.,John Baker Jr., Obe Satterfield, Bob Satterfield, Grady Johnson and Paul Lumpkin. They are requested to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 o'clock.
