∼Sarah LaRue Hodgen was the sixth child of Isaac and Phebe (Carman) LaRue. She married Robert Hodgen inn 1775. There would be twelve children born to this union. On February 9, 1818 the court made the order the proposed the town "be called by the name "Hodgenville." This property formerly belonged to Robert & Sarah Hodgen.
