June Marie Bullert Honey was born 22 Nov 1917 in Webster, Day County, South Dakota, to Marie Clara (Mary) Brakhage (5 Aug 1892 – 21 Nov 1966) and Otto Daniel Bullert (1890 – 1975). June died 23 Apr 1979 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
On 20 Sep 1941, she married Robert Leroy Honey (20 Oct 1913 -30 Aug 1976) in Omaha, Nebraska. Born of this marriage were three children.
l. Dorothy "Dotty" Jean Honey (b. 6 Jul 1942) (John L. Splendore)
2. Richard Lance Honey (30 Oct 1943 - 6 Nov 1969), 1LT, US Air Force.
3. Barbara Clara Honey (b. 12 Jul 1946) (Johnny Maurice Mitchell)
Sharron Lynn Honey (3 Sep 1939 - 30 Aug 2017) was June's stepdaughter. Sharron was very young when June married Sharron's father. Sharron married Joseph George Marino, Jr.. They had two children, Joseph George Marino III and Cynthia Marino.
June's mother Marie Clara (Mary) Brakhage was born to Friedrich Brakhage (22 Jul 1853-25 Jun 1935) and Caroline Doretta Westphal Brakhage (1858-13 Dec 1932) in Webster, S.D. on 5 Aug 1892.
June's father Otto Daniel Bullert (18 Aug 1890-10 Jul 1975) was born to Wilhelmine "Minnie" Augusta Kohls and Carl "Charles" Bullert in Brownton, Minnesota. Carl's father David W. Erdmann Bullert was an original settler in Sibley County, MN. Both he and his wife Rose Seehaver were born in Germany.
June Marie Bullert Honey had five sisters:
1. Vivian Minnie Bullert (John W. Shea) (b. 30 Jul 1915; d. 23 Feb 1993)
2. Margery [Marjorie] Rose Bullert (Bohumil "Boh" J. Kral) (b. 5 Jul 1922; d. 23 Feb 1993)
3. Betty Dorothy Bullert (Julian B. Coghill, Jr.) (b. 1924).
4. Beverly Ann Swanson (Marshall V. Swanson) (b. 1930).
5. Marilyn Jeanne Bullert (Col. David Rarick) (b. 1934).
June Marie Bullert Honey had three brothers:
1. Byron Jadon Bullert (Lucille Glahe) (b. 07 Aug 1913; d. 20 Jun 1983).
2. David Charles Bullert (Dolores "Dory" Arndt) (b. 8 Sep 1920; d. 07 Mar 2005).
3. Orin Dean Bullert (Marilyn Rogers; Carole A. Schneider; Linda J. Kelly) (b 1927).
June's health deteriorated after the death of her son 1LT Richard Lance Honey. Prior to her death, her sister Betty Dorothy Bullert Coghill visited her often to care for her.
