She was born Dec. 13, 1913, at Lorenzo, near Rigby, to Royal Parker and Lois Fitt Hill. She attended schools in Gannet and graduated from Rigby High School. During her early years, she worked in seed houses.
On Dec. 31, 1932, she married Merlin Clarence Beck at LaBelle, near Rigby. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple July 18, 1951. She worked as a bookkeeper-secretary for Decker Brothers, Andrew Well Drilling, the Carpenters' Union, Chamber of Commerce in Idaho Falls, and as a confidential secretary for a utilities district at Lake Tahoe. For the past 14 years, she and her husband wintered in Yuma, Ariz.
An active member of the LDS Church, her positions included serving as Young Women's president. She enjoyed camping.
Survivors include her husband of Idaho Falls; children, Mrs. Steve (Joyce) Tibbitts of Moore, Mrs. Joe (Renee) Wilson of Hamer, Mrs. Marco (Diane) Blazech of Green River, Wyo., and Verl Beck of Salt Lake City; a sister, Doris Short of Idaho Falls; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Old Butte LDS Chapel, 2345 W. 17th South in Idaho Falls, with Bishop J.C. Steele officiating. The family will meet with friends at the church tonight from 7 to 8:30 and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
