On Dec. 17, 1980, she married Jerry D. Ballard in Idaho Falls.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, her dogs, and most of all, her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry D. Ballard of Idaho Falls; two daughters, Adrianne Goldsmith of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Emily Goldsmith of Phoenix, Ariz.; her mother, Bernice Sargis of Idaho Falls; brothers and sisters-in-law, David L. (Arlene) Sargis of Idaho Falls, Eno John (Diana) Sargis, Lindsay R. (Marcia) Sargis.and Fredric S. Sargis.
She was preceded in death by Eno J. and Lelah Johnson; her father, David J. Sargis; and one sister.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dennis Falasco officiating. A private family graveside service will follow. Lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m. at the church for family and friends. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Bonneville Humane Society.
