Lillian Sims Rites 2 O'clock Thursday
Mrs. Lillian Sims, 76, who died at her home in Scio August 29, is to be buried from the Christian Church in the city at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
Interment will be in Miller Cemetery near Shelburn beside the grave of her husband, who preceded her in death several years ago. The Rev. V. L. Loucks will officiate. Mrs. Sims came to Scio from Kansas at the age of 15 and had lived in the immediate community to the time of her death. She was active member of the Scio Christian for many years, and had also served on the Scio school board several years.
Survivors are four sons and four daughters, as follows: W.Z. Sims, Scio; Errol Sims, Willamina; Kenneth Sims, Corvallis; and Ted Sims, Medford; Mrs. G. M. Flook, Mill City; Mrs. Hutchinson, Portland; Mrs. Lloyd Harris, Nehalem; and Mrs. Lloyd Gilchrist, California. W. A. Gilkey, Scio farmer and Leonard Gilkey, Salem are brothers.
