PAT D. QUIRK
DIES SUDDENLY
Patrick D. Quirk, a well known machinist of Davenport, died Sunday afternoon at 4 45 at his home, 309 East Fifteenth street. Mr. Quirk seemed to be in good health at noon yesterday, for he ate his dinner and walked about the house. About 4 o'clock he laid on the couch for a rest. Three quarters of an hour later he was found dead by a friend.
Born in Ireland, Mr Quirk was 67 years old. He came to this country when a young man, first residing in Massachusetts before coming to Davenport. Mr Quick was well known as a machinist. During the past number of years he was foreman of the tool department of the Bettendorf shops.
His wife preceded Mr Quirk in death a little over two months ago. His sister, Miss Kate Quirk, Bondsville, Massachusetts will come here for the funeral. Arrnngements for burial will be made upon arrlval of the sister.

The Quirk Funeral.
The funeral of Patrick D. Quirk was held at 7:30 0'clock from the Halligan funeral parlors with services at 9 0'clock at the Sacred Heart cathedral.
Rev. J. T. A. Flannigan celebrated a requiem high mass, pronounced the burial absolution and preached the funeral sermon. The church Services were very largely attended by the many friends of the deceased and there were many beautiful flowers.
The body will remain at the Halligan parlors until 10 0'clock tonight when it will be shipped to the old home in Palmer, Mass., where burial will be made in St. Thomas cemetery. The body will be accompanied by Thomas Quirk, a brother, and D. J. Quirk, who arrived in this city from Palmer Tuesday night.
The following will be pallbearers: Albert Voss, Michael Healey, Theodore Lantau, Geo. Keefe, W. W. Mc- Mann and James Gillin.
