2912 MAINE - HAMLIN. - Ancestry desired of Phoebe Maine, who was born in Fayetteville, Syracuse Co., N.Y., about 1810, and was the daughter of a Baptist minister. Phoebe was my grandmother and married Leander Hamlin, emigrating to the West, where a son, Palmer and a daughter, Mary were born to them. Mary m. John Fitch at Alton, Ill. , in 1858.
FITCH. - John Fitch was one of a large family, children of Ebenezer Fitch, a son of a wealthy man in Albany, N.Y. - G.A.
