Graveside services for Marjorie Robinson Kersh, a former Dallas garden shop owner, author and television personality, were Tuesday at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.

Mrs. Kersh -- best known in Dallas as Margie Korn, her name from a previous marriage -- died of bronchial genetic lung cancer last Thursday at Tomball Regional Hospital in Tomball, Texas. She was 78.

For several years, the Dallas native was a landscape consultant and owned the Margie Korn Garden Shop on West Lovers Lane. She opened the shop in 1950.

During the 1950s, Mrs. Kersh hosted a gardening show on WFAA-TV (Channel 8) and wrote Here's How to Garden in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. She also worked with the Texas A&M University agricultural extension office to patent fertilizer.

Mrs. Kersh retired in the mid-1970s after selling her garden shop and moving to Houston, where she was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son, Lewis Bruce of Houston, and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the food pantry or the Keen-agers Club at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 19222 Tomball Parkway, Houston, Texas 77070.
