Mrs. Lela Pearl Paxton, daughter of the late James and Fanny Bass, died at 9:30. a. m. Wednesday, June 2, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was 68 years of age. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, Ed Paxton; one son, James Paxton; one daughter. Mrs. Hollis Burriss, all of Greensburg. Other survivors are a brother, R. C. Bass, Greensburg; one sister, Mrs. Will Workman, Greensburg and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Friday June 4, (today) at 10:00 a. m., fast time. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Rev. Landon Hadley, Rev. Walter Swetnam and Rev. Cosby Dobson will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Boyce Beard, Floyd Lile, Olen Risen, Marvin Bass, Vester Workman and Roy Gupton. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Murray, Omer Sullivan, Boyce Hudson, Ellis Coffey, John Hopkins, Vaughn Coffey, Tom Coffey, Everett Gupton, Volen McMahan and Roy Burris.
