John H. Crumbly of 2014 North Broad Street, Rome, GA, passed away August 24, 1952. He was born June 10, 1906, in Fannin County, GA. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Augusta “Gussie” Hannah Crumbly and one son Kenneth H. Crumbly. Also surviving are his mother, Sarah Jane Prince Crumbly, and one sister, Josie Lee Putnam Faith, both of Rome, and five brothers: Thomas Luther and Samuel Astor, both of Murray County, GA; Holland Lester of Woodville, AL; and Jasper Isaiah and Charles Hughes, both of Rome. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Crumbly, and a sister, Maundy Jean, of Murray County.
Mr. Crumbly was a molder at Southern Foundry and a heavy equipment operator for the City of Rome Public Works. He was a resident of Battey Hospital from August 1950 until his death.
