Mrs. Carl Mueller
Mrs. Carl Mueller passed away at the home of her son, E. H. Mueller, in Freedom on Thursday morning last at the ripe old age of eighty-four years, five months and seven days. Death was due entirely to ills incident to advancing years, complicated with an attack of flu. She was a native of Germany. When still young she came to America with her husband. They came to Minnesota and settled in Freedom on the farm where she died. That place was here home during all the years that came and went and that covered eventful periods in American history. As a pioneer she bore her part well and faithfully. She was a good woman and true, one who always reflected and exemplified the highest and best ideals of womanhood.
She leaves to mourn her loss, four children – E. H. Mueller, with whom she resided; Rev. R. J. Mueller of New Haven, Ind.; Mrs. Gust Fratzke of Wood Lake, and Mrs. Herman Boettcher of Janesville.
The funeral was conducted Saturday at the German Lutheran Church in Freedom and the remains laid to rest in the church cemetery at that place. Many friends from near and far were present, attesting their high regard and love for the good woman who has gone to her long home.
