Surviving are his wife, Genese W. Sapp of Hagan; five sons, Johnnie L. Sapp, Jr. of Hortense, Paul Sapp and Barry Sapp, all of Claxton, Daniel Sapp of Pembroke, Kenneth Sapp of Hagan; five daughters, Claudine Womble of Manassas, Barbara Ann Murphy of Hagan, Irene Akins of Statesboro, Clydette Cruz of Huntsville, Al, Darlene Sapp of Claxton; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 4, 11 a.m. at NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Gordy officiating. Burial was in Brewton Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers were Billy Alexander, J.W. Sapp, Davie Sapp, W.D. Sapp, Johnny Sapp, James Sapp, Brookie Sapp, Homer Sapp and Roger Sapp.
