Suggested edit: Please change his date of birth to 17 Feb 1853. He could not have been bon in 1848 as that his brother Robert was born in Jul of 1848. He was not on the 1850 census. On the 1860 census he was listed as birth year 1853 and an age of 7. His death certificate does have the 17 Feb 1848, but no informant was listed. It is clear that his birth date could not have been in 1848.
