AMELIA HANSEN EARLY PIONEER PASSES AT AGE 96

Mrs. AMELIA LOUISIANA HEPPLER HANSEN, 96, died Sunday morning in a Richfield Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 27, 1871, New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada to Andrew and Louisiana Seegmiller Heppler, when she was two year old she came with her family to Glenwood as converts of the LDS Church.

She attended Brigham Young Academy and returned to Sevier County where she taught school for six years.

Mrs. Hansen was married to Andrew Krog Hansen, Oct. 13, 1898, in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Oct. 27, 1920.

She served in both the Relief Society and Primary Association organizations, as teacher and President. She continued her affiliation in the Primary until the last year, when she would visit the Primary of her home ward and present her "birthday pennies".

She was a member of the Home Economics Club, Daughter of Utah Pioneers and honorary member of the Richfield Study Club.
