George Beem was born in Ohio, July 10, 1847. He came with his parents to Hillsdale county, Mich., when a small boy and grew to manhood. Then when a young man he came to this county and lived here until five years ago when he removed to St. Clair county and has since lived there.
He was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Watson December 16, 1879, and died at his home on Nov. 30, 1918.
He leaves to mourn his death his wife, one son, Clifford, one brother, Robt. Beem, of Freeland, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Adeline Fitzsimmons, of Hillsdale, and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the home of his niece, Miss Helen Beem, Rev. D. P. Morris officiating. Interment made in Maple Grove cemetery.
