Kathryn F. Eiklor, 78, wife of Donald J. Eiklor, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at her home
in Columbia, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Eiklor held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2800 Trotwood Ave., Columbia with Rev. Jim Gardner officiating. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial held at a later date in Tioga Cemetery in New York.

Born in Endicott, New York, Mrs. Eiklor was the daughter of the late Clarence and Eva Grippin Frellesen.

She was a member of the 1950 graduating class of OFA Academy in Owego, New York.

In 1951, she married Donald J. Eiklor, who survives, and has been blessed with 60 wonderful years of marriage.

While living in New York, Mrs. Eiklor worked for Tioga State Bank, Public Loan Company, and later, was the office manager for the owner/operator of McDonald's in Owego. She was a member of the Tioga Post 401 Auxillary in Owega, New York.

After moving to Columbia, Tennessee, she worked for, and retired from First Farmers and Merchants Bank. Mrs. Eiklor has served as president of the Columbia Newcomers Club, and was active in the Sew and Sews Group of the First Methodist Church in Columbia.

Her hobbies include knitting, crocheting, golf, and bowling, to name a few, and she was a master at all of them. Mrs. Eiklor was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Doneva (Gary) Rozelle of St. Charles, IL and Karen Eiklor of Pittsburgh, PA; three sons, Donald (Jeannette) Eiklor, II of Apalachin, NY, Kyle (Carolyn) Eiklor of West Islip, NY, Gary Eiklor of Barton, NY; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; aunt, Ruth Grippin of Penn Yan, NY; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Barner.

Pallbearers will be Gary Rozelle, Kyle Eiklor, Donald Eiklor, II, Miguel Rivas, Jeff Shaffer, and Bob Swanson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Malik Hatch, Max Hatch, Carson Brewer, Dr. Ben Gardner, Dr. John Maloof, active and retired employees of First Farmers and Merchants Bank, friends and neighbors of Wyndham Park Association, ICU staff at Vanderbilt Medical Center, staff of The Cancer Center of Vanderbilt Medical Center, and the staff of Hospice Compassus.
