Mary Marinda Harman, daughter of William Bruce and Ellender "Ellen" McBride Harman. She was born 12/23/1872 in Watauga Co., NC and married William Monroe Harmon on 1/23/1894. They had 9 known children: Roy A., Rebecca L., George McKinley, John I., Martha J., Edgar David, Ida D., Inez Rosabell, and Cloyce Mae.

Mrs. Harmon Dies Monday
Mrs. Mary Miranda Harmon, 87, of Beech Creek, died Monday at Banner Elk Hospital.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 o'clock at Beech Valley Baptist Church by Rev. Ed Farthing and Rev. E. O. Gore and burial was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are the husband, William M. Harmon, three sons and four daughters: U.S. Marshal Roy Harmon, Asheville; George Harmon, Beech Creek; Ira Harmon, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Carl Wiseman, Spruce Pine; Mrs. Fred Edmisten, Vilas; Misses Inez and Cloyce Harmon of the home. There is one sister, Mrs. Eunice Hartley of Bristol and a brother, John Harmon of Elizabethton.
