*Buried next to William Kinchon Rose

Mrs. W.K. Rose died in a Fort Worth hospital last Saturday morning of a heart attack as she was preparing to go home following surgery on Monday.

Mrs. Rose, 81, the former Miss Lula May Bourne, was born at Detroit, daughter of Joe M. Bourne and Anna M. Park, pioneer settler of this section. She taught in the Detroit schools prior to her marriage to William Kinchon Rose, former teacher here, on December 20, 1899. They moved from Detroit shortly after marriage and to Fort Worth about 35 years ago, where she continued to reside after Mr. Rose's death in 1948.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at South Side Church of Christ in Fort Worth. Ministers officiating were Robert C. Jones of Amarillo, Eldred Stevens and Otto Foster. The body was brought to Paris and burial and graveside service was at Evergreen Cemetery.

Besides a daughter, Miss Katherine Rose of Fort Worth, she is survived by 3 brothers; Joe T., Charles D. and Richard Bourne, all of Detroit.

Joe T. and Charles D. Bourne attended the funeral at Fort Worth and those from Detroit attending the graveside services in Paris at 4:00 p.m. Monday were: Richard Bourne, Herbert Bourne, Mrs. Joe T. Bourne, Mrs. Charles D. Bourne, Mrs. G.G. Cherry, Mrs. R.J. Easley and Mrs. Donald Kerr.
