YORKTOWN--Ruth E. Langley, 88, passed away Friday at the Waters of Yorktown following an extended illness.
Ruth was born in Northern Delaware County, the second of three daughters to Floyd E. and Isca (Fisher) Abraham, and was a 1941 graduate of Royerton High School. She attended Ball State University.
Mrs. Langley was a savings counselor and an assistant treasurer for Muncie Federal Savings and Loan for over 40 years until her retirement in 1984.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Marvin G. Langley, Muncie; a son, Eric "Rick" Langley, Troy, Michigan; a grandson, Jason Scott Langley, Troy, Michigan; two granddaughters, Jessica Ruth Langley, Troy, Michigan, and Jacklyn Langley, Troy, Michigan; and a brother-in-law, John Towriss, Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Ann Louise Cline and Carolyn Sue Towriss.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Everett Bilbrey officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at Parson Mortuary one hour prior to time of service on Monday.
