Elijah Park, Enlisted in Company K, First U.S. Army Cavalry Regiment. Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, on 11 June 1855 at Forsyth, Taney County, Missouri.
He enlisted along with a Brother of his wife, Francis Marion Proctor.
Elijah Park died 20 August 1855. Either at Fort Leavenworth, or Fort Riley. Members of his Company were at Fort Riley in July and August of 1855. When a Cholera Epidemic broke out, killing as many as 100 people.
So far we have no other record of Elijah Park, He left a widow Sarah Park 'nee Holland, who never remarried and two daughter's,
