Daughter of Ezra THOMPSON and Marie HAMILTON. Married Harvey BAUMAN.

Judy Thompson Bauman, age 66, of 102 Tower Lane, Blowing Rock, died June 17, 2011, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.

She was born July 19, 1944 in Amelia, Ohio. Mother of five children. She earned her B.S. at ASU.

Judy is survived by her husband, Harvey Bauman of the home; two daughters, Stephanie Brockway and husband Burr of Salem, Oregon, and Gretchen Piasecny of Blowing Rock; three sons, Linn Bauman of Asheville, David Bauman and wife Lila of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kent Bauman of Charlotte; three sisters, Joyce Breving and husband Jerry Cincinnati, Ohio, Brenda Olson and husband Dan, and Cheryl Davis, all of Amelia, Ohio; two granddaughters, Bonnie Brockway of Salem, Oregon, and Veronica Rice of Mint Hill, and three grandsons, Anthony Piasecny and Nick Piasecny, both of Blowing Rock, and Scott Bauman of St. Louis. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, and two sisters.
