Lisa Anna Grady, 23, of Somers, a beloved daughter of Thomas and Susanna (Rafala) Grady, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, (June 15, 2011) at Baystate Medical Center.
She was born on August 26, 1987, in Springfield, MA.
A lifelong resident of Somers, Lisa was a 2006 graduate of Somers High School, and was currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology at Southern Connecticut State University where she was a member of the Honor Society with Summa Cum Laude status.
She had been employed as a Manager at Rave Movie Cinemas. Lisa was an avid reader and sushi eater, who loved to hang out with her sister. She also loved music, animals, swimming in the family pool, and being with her friends.
Lisa will always be remembered as someone who was not afraid to speak her mind. She was deeply loved and will always be missed by her parents, Thomas and Susanna, her brother, Kevin Grady and her sister Colleen Grady, all of Somers; an aunt, four uncles; and six cousins; and her "little lion, Midnight".
Family and friends may gather at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main Street, Somers, on Tuesday, June 21, at 9 a.m. for a procession to St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Avenue, Enfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Lisa's life will be held at 10 a.m. followed by burial in Somers Center Cemetery.
