Graveside services for Evelyn J. Byron, 2822 Elm St., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Van Zandt Cemetery, with the Rev. Patrick Conway officiating. Mrs. Byron, 62, died Sunday in Bellingham.
She was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Dublin, Ga., and moved to Bellingham from Texas in 1965. Mrs. Byron was an avid gardener and loved flowers.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Byron and Richard Byron, both of Bellingham; two daughters, Gail Ackerman of Deming and Suzanne DeKubber of Bellingham; two brothers, Jakes Wilkes and Frank Wilkes, both of Rockledge, Ga.; a sister, Edrith Spivey, also of Rockledge, Ga.; and eight grandchildren. Arrangements are by Jerns and LaVeck Chapel.
