US Senator. Served as a United States Senator from Ohio from 1911 to 1923. Served as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Ohio in 1912, and Lieutenant Governor of Ohio in 1911. He was also apponted by Calvin Coolidge as the special prosecutor for the Teapot Dome Scandal. He ran for the Democratic nomination for President in 1928.
