Former DuBois Woman Passes Away in Phoenix
Friends and relatives in DuBois have been advised of the death of Mrs. Winifred Crissman, which occurred Saturday morning in Phoenix, Ariz. Before leaving for Phoenix in November, Mrs. Crissman made her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Kahn, on Patterson avenue. She was a devoted wife and mother and her friendship was greatly prized by a large number of warm friends who will learn of her demise with keen regret.
After leaving DuBois, Mrs. Crissman lived in Erie, Pa., for some time and after the death of her husband nine years ago she returned to DuBois.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William Sanger, of Erie; her son Hudson Crissman, having preceded his mother in death several months ago. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Kahn; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Taylor, of Brookville; Mrs. Joseph Simmerly, of El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. Ruth McCluskey, Herkimer, N.Y. and two brothers, Alfred E., of DuBois, and Charles, of Youngstown, O., also survive.
The remains are expected to arrive in DuBois Tuesday and will be taken to the home of her parents on Patterson avenue, from which place funeral services will be held.
