STARKVILLE - Harold Dean Tallent Sr., 69, of Longview, died Saturday, July 17, 2004. He was born Jan. 29, 1935, in Bruce. He was a retired truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Stoy Nash VFW Post 5573.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Columbus with the Rev. Fredrick Craddock officiating. Starkville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Tallent of Starkville; six daughters, Myra Bungart of Jackson, Linda Joyce Farris of New Albany, Deanise Stephens of Starkville, Amanda Tallent of Walthall, Jennifer Tallent Arney of Sturgis and Dana Tallent Huffman of Pheba; four sons, Harold Wayne Tallent and Kenneth Dean Tallent, both of Vardaman, David Russell Tallent of Nesbit, and Harold Dean Tallent Jr. of Starkville; one sister, Erma Faye Smith of Conroe, Texas; one brother, George Russell Tallent of Sturgis; 22 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
